Two NAACP Cleveland Branch Committees Co-Sponsor the Democracy Lab Civics 101

Two NAACP Cleveland Branch committees, the Religious Affairs Committee and the Education Committee, are together taking The Democracy Lab's Civics 101 training all over Cleveland, from the west side to the east side, and downtown.

The Democracy Lab is a volunteer led organization focused on increasing Civic Engagement and Voter Participation. The Democracy Lab envisions a nation of well-informed citizens who actively participate in the electoral process.

Not only is the engaged citizen empowered to peacefully advocate, but they are more likely to have the confidence to challenge, confront, and hold their elected officials accountable.

On June 20, the Rev. Michael Lamont Miles and Sister Diane Bailey welcomed The Democracy Lab to the Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church's Juneteenth Community Festival, at 12017 Emery Ave SW.

Coming up on Saturday August 8, The Democracy Lab brings Civics 101 to the Greater Bethel AME Church, at 14735 Thames Ave on Cleveland's east side.  Then, on August 15, Shiloh Baptist Church, at 5500 Scovill Ave and East 55th, welcomes The Democracy Lab with Civics 101 at their Saturday event.

All are welcome. Please watch for more details.
