Purpose of Environmental & Climate Justice Committee

The Environmental & Climate Justice Committee addresses the disproportionate environmental burdens faced by Black communities in Cleveland, including pollution, climate-related health risks, and environmental neglect.

The committee advocates for equitable environmental policies, access to clean air and water, and sustainable community development. By raising awareness and supporting policy solutions, the committee works to ensure environmental justice is recognized as a civil rights issue.
