Purpose of Criminal Justice Committee
The Criminal Justice Committee of the NAACP Cleveland Branch works to address systemic inequities within the criminal legal system that disproportionately impact Black and marginalized communities in Cleveland.
This committee advocates for fair policing practices, sentencing reform, accountability, and policies that uphold civil rights and due process. Through community education, policy monitoring, and collaboration with local leaders, the committee seeks to advance justice, transparency, and reform at every stage of the system.
