Officer Installation at NAACP Cleveland Youth Council Unit #3800

On Sunday June 14, 2026, William Tarter, President of NAACP Cleveland Branch, welcomed members of the community, including, from Cleveland Municipal Court, Judge In Son J. Loving; NAACP Cleveland Youth Council advisors Kayla Lowery, Stephanie Palmer, Nicki Price, and NAACP Cleveland Branch 1st Vice President Pamela Mason; and Youth Council members Marissa Betts, Gabriel Bumbrey, Sanaa Palmer, and Diyez Williams.

We were convened at GlenVillage on East 105 to install Youth Council officers.

The setting was beautifully appointed - with NAACP blue and gold banners and balloons and tablecloth. We had refreshments and snacks and talked.

President Tarter, following Roberts' Rules (no relaxing the rules for the Youth Council), welcomed everyone, and then down to business.

As our officers were installed, Judge Loving administered our oaths. Our new President is Kayla Lowery; Marissa Betts is Vice President; Gabriel Bumbrey, Treasurer; Diyez Williams, Secretary, and Sanaa Palmer, Assistant Secretary.

With the NAACP Cleveland Youth Council already meeting monthly, there's much for us to do. We have XX members and already have XX committees, many with members indicating interest in being chair.
