This summer, members of the Cleveland Branch NAACP Youth Council #3800 proudly represented our city at the 117th NAACP National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, joining thousands of advocates, leaders, and young changemakers from across the country under the theme, "We the People."

Throughout the convention, our youth participated in inspiring workshops, leadership development sessions, community service projects, and networking opportunities that strengthened their commitment to advocacy, civic engagement, and social justice. From hearing nationally recognized speakers to connecting with Youth & College leaders from across the nation, our delegates gained valuable knowledge and experiences they will bring back to Cleveland.

One of the highlights of the trip was participating in a community service project where Youth Council members volunteered by helping distribute fresh produce to local residents.

Closer to home, Youth Council members also had the honor of volunteering at the Cleveland Branch NAACP's 114th Annual Freedom Fund Dinner, themed "Made for the Moment." Youth assisted with guest hospitality, event support, and represented the next generation of leaders during one of the branch's signature fundraising events.
